The Big Craft Event was established in 2013 by Amy who wanted to create a large 100% handmade event for crafters to take part in, and the public to enjoy. A believer that hand made skills need to be nurtured and encouraged in the present day, Amy knew her background in marketing and event management would enable the county craft community to have an indoor event with a large capacity dedicated to crafting. It’s grown from strength to strength! 2022 saw the start of an Easter Sunday event.

Many people do a lot of their gift shopping at the Big Craft Event! You can find items for your home, too. Our crafters and sellers have been chosen with care for their skill and originality so you will find something unique and special. We don't allow any 'bought in'. Every craft you see will be made by the person the other side of the table, who will be only too pleased to share their passion with you, answer your crafting queries and inspire you to try a new craft for yourself. Our sellers of craft supplies are full of knowledge and will be ready to inspire you, help you and guide you.

Take the time to chat and discover unique and beautiful gifts. Explore the joy in hand-made items, which have never seen the inside of a freight container and have been created out of talent or a knack. With an increase in the popularity of 'upcycling', some of the items you see will be created out of vintage or redundant goods, sometimes giving a new lease of life to things which would otherwise have gone to landfill. Alongside emerging trends in craft, expect to see extraordinary traditional skills, some with a contemporary edge, and some of our crafters will be demonstrating their skills.
